(Telecompaper) Viacom said it is looking to sell a "significant strategic minority" stake in Paramount Pictures. The announcement was made by CEO Philippe Dauman at at the Jefferies Media & Communications Conference in New York City. Daumann said the transaction would benefit the companies, both strategically and financially, creating value going forward. Viacom has retained PJT Partners as its financial advisor to assist with the process.
