(Telecompaper) Vodafone plans to cut 500 jobs in Germany, reports Bloomberg citing an internal letter sent by Vodafone Germany CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum. The job cuts come as it transfers some of its main regional operation to Romania and IT operations to India. Schulte-Bockum also said that Vodafone Germany would cut entry-level salaries and create a service unit for customer care. He blamed the job cuts on commercial pressure and a regulatory environment that was 'hostile to investment'.
