Volvo Trucks is now selling heavy duty trucks powered by dimethyl ether (DME), and it was unveiled recently at the California capitol state building in Sacramento.
Theres a few things you might want to know about it
It has 95% less CO2 emissions than diesel
It produces no soot
The fuel comes from a variety of domestic, sustainable sources like food and animal waste
It can also be tapped and converted from Americas vast terrain of natural gas
Its storage tank is much lighter and simpler than those needed by natural gas vehicles
The fuel has already been on the market for years as an aerosol propellant
Its a clean non-toxic fuel.
