Power Plants Rules Come this Summer The Obama administration has officially launched its bid to throttle greenhouse gas emissions 30 percent by 2025, The Wall Street Journal reported this week. Utilities reliant on coal-fired generation for many decades will be receiving their long-awaited federal power plan rules this summer. They are expected to reduce power plant emissions 30 percent between 2005 levels and 2030. read more
