With HDMI-HDCP inputs, Models WFM and WVR5250 enable broadcasters and video service providers to directly monitor quality of video and audio output of set-top boxes and Blu-ray players. In addition to checking output of STBs, cable operators and other VSPs can use HDMI-HDCP connectivity to test new STB firmware releases in lab and diagnose interoperability issues. VSPs can also conduct audio loudness checks in headends or hub sites, which is important for complying with CALM Act.
