The receipts at slaughter cow test auctions dropped, but were still high at 5,900 head. The trends were uneven and erratic but mostly steady to weak. Ninety percent trimmings, which are the largest product from cows, have dropped $60 since the beginning of September and have put a lot of pressure on cow prices.
