Michael Chaney has been appointed chairman of Wesfarmers to succeed Bob Every, returning to the company he led as chief executive for 13 years. Chaney, who most recently served as chairman of Woodside Petroleum, earlier was CEO of the Perth-based conglomerate, which owns Coles supermarkets and the Bunnings homeware chair, serving from 1992 until 2005.
