Free Wi-Fi access points have been placed around Lake Wendouree as part of the state government's Victorian Wi-Fi pilot program. The $11 million initiative is the largest free public Wi-Fi service of its kind in Australia, with the service, managed and maintained by telecommunications company TPG, allowing for up to 250 megabytes per device, per day.
