Chinese central planners are quickly learning that the ability for China to be 100% self-sufficient in everything is not possible. That spells good news for U.S. beef producers. Since the U.S. BSE fiasco in 2003, China has banned U.S. beef imports, at least officially. That stance may change this year, now that Chinas central planners are realizing that the country doesnt have the resources for it to be 100% self-sufficient in everything.
