Winning World Standards Day Video shows why signs matter.

With near half of public's 6,500 votes, one team from Mexico has been selected as winning group of World Standards Day video competition. This challenge called for contestants to submit videos showing something that would not work or would be much more difficult without support of international standards. Their animated video, "Signs Matter," depicts how certain situations would be much more difficult without graphic symbols. Like standards, symbols represent common language.
