SensiumVitals enables early intervention by continuously monitoring vital signs – heart rate, respiration rate, and axillary temperature – every 2 min and alerting nursing staff when preset thresholds are exceeded. Based on disposable, single-use, wearable patch, system uses digital radio chip to communicate measurements, interpreted by algorithms to avoid false alerts, for up to 5 days before requiring recharging. FDA-cleared, battery-powered device integrates with existing hospital technology.
