World Series commuter plan urged for MARC

The MARC Riders Advisory Council petitioned the Maryland MTA and Governor O'Malley to work with CSX Corporation and Bombardier Transportation to develop plans for special Camden Yards passenger rail service between Oriole Park and Washington, DC with intermediate stops in Baltimore, Howard and Prince George's counties. The council has developed a detailed plan for augmenting existing weekday commuter rail service along the MARC Camden Line into a "World Series Special" service that would run should the Orioles advance to the MLB World Series in October 2014.
