Erin Cole , the military veteran who's led World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara for the past 12 months, is leaving the nonprofit trade group to take a job at Empire State Development Corp. Starting July 20, Cole will be senior vice president of Global NY, a program launched last year to assist New York businesses that want to export their goods as well as foreign businesses that want to come to New York state. WTCBN board chairman Kenneth Franasiak said a search committee has already been formed and seeks names of potential candidates by Aug. 15. On Wednesday, Cole was not immediately available for comment, but in a message posted on WTCBN's website, Franasiak said Cole will continue to live in Lockport and travel extensively.
