XTO Energy deals signal Exxon Mobil maneuvering in U.S. shale

The Irving-based corporation announced Monday its subsidiary XTO Energy had signed deals with two competitors to expand their operations in the Permian Basin in West Texas while shrinking their presence in the Utica Shale in Ohio.
