Xiaomi buys patents from Nokia, agrees cross-licence

(Telecompaper) Nokia announced the sale of patents to Xiaomi as well as a cross-license deal with the Chinese smartphone maker. The multi-year patent agreement includes a cross license to each company's cellular standard essential patents. The company did not comment on the type of patents sold to Xiaomi. The two also agreed a business collaboration for Nokia to provide network infrastructure equipment and work with Xiaomi.
