2014-10-16 09:31:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Ziggo said revenues for its third quarter rose 2.9 percent to EUR 402.6 million, thanks to its April price hike. EBITDA lifted 3.4 percent to EUR 228 million while the net profit fell to EUR 2.7 million from 86.5 million on the back of impairment charges. Liberty Global's bid will run until 4 November. Ziggo expects the merger to complete in the fourth quarter. The operator has kept its full year guidance, still expecting adjusted EBITDA flat year-on-year, with capex at EUR 370 million. From 1 January, Cogas Kabel will terminate its contract with Ziggo. The deal brought in revenues of EUR 18 million and EBITDA of EUR 12 million this year.
