A 92-year-old woman with dementia will soon lose her Medicaid benefits that allow her to live in a Richmond nursing home because of a policy that states a person may lose their long term care benefits for a period of time, if they don't sell their home for its current tax assessed value. Maebelle Adams had to leave her home in Chesapeake and move into a nursing home in February 2014 after suffering a debilitating stroke.
