Engineer, Operations Architecture Luxembourg Betzdorf You will master a variety of software technologies, communication middleware, databases, interpreted and compiled programming languages, scripts, development environments, proprietary and opensource tools. Your responsibilities Continuously improving the safety and level of automation of SES fleet operations. Specifying, developing and testing of operational software for the automated monitoring and control of the SES fleet Developing and verifying automated flight procedures in SPELL Pythonbased language Developing automated converters for procedures from native languages to SPELL language, using advanced graph transformation technologies Management of satellite operational databases that define telemetry and telecommands, including development of algorithms for improved satellite monitoring derived telemetry Development of automated testing sequences for ground software and satellite procedures Execution of Ground Control System manual and automated testing Qualifications Experience Experience in compiled e.g., C, C, Java, Go and interpreted Python programming languages Knowledge of revision control tools you use Git on your daily basis. Great command of Linux as it is our primary OS for development. Fluency in bash command line tools and understanding how to debug problems. Good knowledge in software testing methods and how to apply them effectively. System view fullstack and understanding of all the disciplines involved in the satellite operations satellite engineering, ground software and hardware, baseband, TTC chain, operations or a strong motivation to develop them. Eclipse IDE, C, Lua Git LinuxUnix, Windows Relational databases e.g., MySQL Test automation tools Languages for automation of Satellite Operations SPELL, CECIL, ARES, PIL Other key requirements comments Understanding the operational needs of future satellites and defining the evolution of the software tools needed for their operations, for a smooth integration of newly procured satellites platforms in the fleet operations Objective, rational and multidisciplinary thinking Great interpersonal skills, understanding of the needs of internal and external customers Problem solver mentality, solutions oriented and dependable with delivering on time Previous experience with Satellite Engineering, Satellite Operations, SW Engineering, Ground Engineering Eager to learn and acquire new languages and concepts quickly.
