Forest Oil calls shareholder meeting for vote on Sabine deal

Denver's Forest Oil Corp. has scheduled a meeting of its shareholders to vote on a merger with Sabine Oil & Gas LLC. Forest Oil's stockholders of record on Oct. 3 will be allowed to vote at the meeting, which is set for 9 a.m. Nov. 20 at the Denver Marriott City Center, 1701 California St. Only a simple majority is needed for the deal to go through. The Forest Oil board is recommending stockholders vote for the deal, which would put investors in the privately held Sabine controlling the combined company .
