According to AIA statistics, total machine vision sales in North America climbed 23% compared to third quarter of 2012. Machine vision systems category, which includes application specific machine vision systems and smart cameras, continued driving overall growth with 25% increase over third quarter 2012, while sales of machine vision components grew 10% over third quarter of last year. North American PCB Sales and Order Growth Strengthening

According to IPC's North American PCB Statistical Program, total North American PCB shipments increased 3.6% in October 2013 from October 2012. Year-to-date shipment growth is still negative compared to same period in 2012, but is improving and reached -2.9 in October. PCB bookings increased 7.0% year over year, an improvement that brought year-to-date growth into positive territory at 0.1%.
