A Small, Inexpensive High Frequency Comb Signal Generator
2015-09-25 07:02:52| rfglobalnet Home Page
The manipulation of electromagnetic radiation is an essential function of today's technology. Low frequency radiation -- in the kilohertz and megahertz range -- is easier to generate than gigahertz radiation. Yet higher frequencies can carry more information and travel farther. By Catherine Meyers

TVS Diode Arrays protect high speed signal pins.
2015-09-24 14:31:07| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
With peak pulse power of 500 W and 600 W, respectively, SP4044 and SP4045 Series are integrated with additional zener diode to protect each I/O pin. Units can handle minimum of ±30 kV ESD, and can safely absorb up to 24 A of lightning-induced surges while presenting only 1.5 pF per I/O-to-Ground connection. Very low dynamic resistance of 0.22 Ω for SP4044 and 0.3 Ω for SP4045 produces low clamping voltages, allowing devices to protect modern/small geometry chipsets against ESD transients.

IDA 2 Reveals Interference In Complex Signal Structures
2015-09-21 10:45:53| rfglobalnet Downloads
Today’s conventional spectrum analyzers that utilize the super-heterodyne principle can no longer adequately investigate wireless signals. Spectrum analyzers must use digital signal processing and wideband FFTs to be able to distinguish closely spaced signals, and to reliably detect overlapping signals. The IDA 2 can be used to simultaneously measure wireless signals with microsecond time resolutions, and frequency resolutions of a few Hertz. This application note discusses the practical uses of the IDA 2’s high-resolution analysis of wireless signals.
