(Telecompaper) Claro and Movistar have each secured additional 4G spectrum in an auction in Uruguay. Claro spent USD 35.2 million for two blocks of 2x5 MHz in the 700 MHz band and two blocks of 2x5MHz in the 1,700/2,100 MHz band. Movistar spent in total USD 30.9 million for three blocks of 2x5 MHz in the 700 MHz band.
