General Mills fruit snacks will drop artificial flavors and colors

General Mills will begin eliminating artificial flavors and colors from Fruit by the Foot, Fruit Gushers and Fruit Roll-Ups next year. The Golden Valley-based food company will use flavors and colors from actual fruit and vegetable juice to reformulate its "Fruit Shapes" molded snacks, General Mills said on its website .
