Specific Tasks Under the authority of the Head of Unit, the candidate will plan and coordinate basic research for space in biology science, as well as identifying, promoting and developing industrial applications on theInternational Space Station. This includes establishing and clarifying the definition of science requirements for Biology science flight instrumentation along with the science teams concerned and in close cooperation with project developers and operations managers in the Directorate providing timely information to the Utilisation Coordinator regarding the demand for microgravity facilities and flight opportunities, and monitoring ongoing biology science flight experiment projects promoting use of the ISS for applicationoriented and industrial research in biology science by coordinating the initiation and monitoring of Topical Teams and Microgravity Application Programme MAP projects coordinating the use of multiuser facilities available on the ISS or on unmanned space missions by projects identified in the Science in the Space Environment element of ESAs European Exploration envelope Programme supporting the presentation of biology science research programme implementation to the Life Science Sciences Working Group for recommendation promoting space research in biology science by participating in seminars, workshops and scientific conferences, ensuring scientific reporting of experiment results obtained under the programme.
