At 2 p.m., "Wise Owls" will teach students about what makes an owl different from other birds and where to look for owls in the dark. 03.29: Scott Nadelson & Jay Ponteri

2013-02-09 01:36:50| Powells Books Events Calendar

The Next Scott Nadelson: A Life in Progress (Hawthorne Books), a new book by Oregon Book Award-winner Scott Nadelson, is a literary self-portrait that revolves around the dissolution of a relationship but encompasses the long process of a young man's halting self-discovery. Married writer Jay Ponteri finds himself infatuated with a woman other than his wife and writes a manuscript to explore his feelings. Wedlocked (Hawthorne Books) offers readers an intimate, idiosyncratic view of a human institution that can so often fail, leaving its inhabitants lonely and adrift.
