Post Description The candidate would support DEIMOS in the ENTICE project and providing a development environment for the rest of our software projects. ENTICE is a H2020 RD project for the European Commission which tries to optimise the creation, distribution and provisioning of Virtual Machines on different cloud infrastructures please visit httpwww.enticeproject.eu for more information. DEIMOS is in charge of providing an industry use case for this technology, deploying our leading Ground Segment systems on a cloudbased platform. Education The person in charge of this position would support DEIMOS on the ENTICE project Professional Experience Up to 3 years experience in ITrelated industries, preferably Internet, Telecoms, Gaming or Banking Technical Requirements The candidate must be a generalist, capable of adapting to new languages and technologies. The candidate should have some, but not all, of the skills below Infrastructure including InfrastructureasaService Detailed knowledge of Linux and Windows OSs, with particular focus on secure configurations Detailed knowledge of virtualisation and cloud technology Ansible and Configuration Management tools Operating System and Network Security in production systems Redundancy, high availability and scalability configuration and techniques Network, System and Service Monitoring Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting Logging and Event management systems Database platforms SQL and noSQL IP and Networking Web application servers and frameworks Python, Ruby, LUA, Shell or other scripting languages Implementing robust systems from Open Source software Any of the following skills are desirable Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tool chains, Bamboo and Jenkins are preferable Automated system build tools Source Code management systems, git is preferable Agile and Iterative software development Test automation and test harness creation Automated documentation systems Experience of writing relevant design and test documentation Technical writing, including userfacing documentation Language Skills English B2 level as minimum Personal Skills Collaborative, trustworthy, openminded, original, inquisitive person.
