Hollywood-Grant Park Sewer/Stormwater Construction UPDATE

Construction is underway on Environmental Services Hollywood-Grant Park Sewer and Stormwater Project. Over the next year and a half, this project will repair or replace 38,000 feet (about 7 miles) of public sewer pipes that are between 75 and 110 years old and in poor condition. The work includes constructing 12 green street planters and six sumps that will remove more than 201-million gallons of stormwater from the sewer system annually.

UPDATE 1-China more than doubles 2016 non-state crude import quota to 1.75 mln bpd

China has more than doubled its non-state crude oil import quota for 2016 to 87.6 million tonnes, or 1.75 million barrels per day , as Beijing seeks to boost competition and attract private investment in its oil industry. The 2016 quota issued by the Ministry of Commerce on Friday compared to this year's figure of 37.6 million tonnes.

South Irvington Sewer Extension Project Update: October 30, 2015

Environmental Services is constructing 1,060 feet of public sewer pipe and 460 feet of sewer laterals that will provide 17 properties direct and independent connections to the public sewer. This work is part of the City of Portlands effort to provide residents with sewer connections that comply with city code.

Mt. Scott-Arleta and Woodstock Sewer Repair Project Update

Environmental Services is designing a project to repair or replace up to 17,000 feet, or over three miles, of public sewers in the Mt. Scott, Arleta, and Woodstock neighborhoods. Many of the existing sewer pipes are 85 years old and deteriorating due to age. This project is one of many that will protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.
