Carl Zeiss, which supplies camera lenses to the likes of Nokia has made a tentative step into the virtual reality market, with its own headset. Not quite an Oculus Rift, it works more like the Samsung Gear VR, which relies on a smartphone for the display -- although in this case, not just Samsung smartphones.
