Environmental Services your public sewer and stormwater services provider is designing a project to repair or replace public sewer pipes in the Woodlawn and King neighborhoods. Most of the sewer pipes are over 85 years old and are deteriorating due to age. The project will protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.

Montavilla North and South Sewer Repair Projects Update: Design is underway

Environmental Services is designing two projects to repair about 23,000 feet, more than four miles, of public sewers in the Montavilla neighborhood and eastern edges of North Tabor, Mount Tabor and South Tabor neighborhoods. Existing sewers are about 80 to 100 years old and in deteriorating condition. These projects will protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.

NW District Sewer Repair Project UPDATE

Environmental Services is continuing construction on a project to replace about 8,000 feet of sewer pipe that is in poor condition in northwest Portland. The pipes range in size from eight to 36 inches. The project will increase sewer system capacity and help prevent sewer backups in basements. The project is expected to last up to 18 months.
