Environmental Services is starting design on a small project to repair a segment of severely deteriorated sewer pipe on N Fremont Street at N Kerby Avenue. The newly repaired pipe will better serve the surrounding neighborhood and reduce the risk of backups or leaks. Environmental Services works throughout the city to assess the condition of our underground infrastructure and identify pipes - such as those in this project - that are in need of repair.

As we communicated in our notice last month, Environmental Services is continuing to design a project to replace or repair about 1,000 feet of 100-year-old public sewer pipes in the SE Hemlock Avenue and Harrison Street Alley, under the small East Rose Garden east of Ladds Circle, and between two properties on SE Cypress Avenue.

Kenton Sewer Repair Construction Update, July 7th, 2015

Environmental Services is replacing about 7,000 feet of public sewer pipes in the Kenton neighborhood that are between 80 and 90 years old and deteriorating due to age. This project will increase sewer capacity and reduce the risks of street flooding and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.
