Telefonica to start integrating O2 and E-Plus networks

(Telecompaper) Telefonica Germany announced plans to begin its Germany-wide consolidation of the UMTS and GSM networks of O2 and E-Plus in January. In parallel, the company continues to rapidly expand its LTE network and also plans to enable joint LTE use from mid-2016. The network integration in 2016 will focus on the densely populated urban areas. In the first year of the network integration, Telefonica Deutschland already aims to reach more than 60 percent of the population with its new, integrated network. The network integration is expected to take five years to complete.

Thor Industries Reports Record Start to Fiscal '16

Thor Industries Inc. announced record sales, net income from continuing operations and backlogs for its fiscal 2016 first quarter, ended Oct. 31. Sales from continuing operations for the first quarter were $1.03 billion, up 12% from $922 million in the first quarter last year. The Elkhart, Ind.-based company reported sales of towable and motorized RVs posted combined growth of 8%, including revenue from acquisitions, which was supplemented by revenues from the acquisition of Postle Aluminum.
