TORONTO, Ont.- The Government of Canada has committed $421,720 to develop mentorship programs that will help further the careers of women in the nation's trucking industry, and identify best practices that can better support the hiring and retention of under-represented demographic groups. The funding was announced this morning by Dr. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, during Trucking HR Canada's Women with Drive Leadership Summit.

Senators want federal agency investigated amid guardrail concerns

Six U.S. Senators want the Federal Highway Administration investigated amid growing concerns about the agency and what the letter describes as "troubling developments" with a widely criticized guardrail system. Lawsuits allege that a design change in the ET-Plus guardrail system causes it to malfunction and has led to deaths and losses of limbs among drivers in several states.

Cothran Campbell and Patrick Christie have made visits to Aiken Training Track clocker's stand in the past. Samson is currently under investigation for reportedly using a United Airlines flight route between Newark, New Jersey, and Columbia to get to his weekend home in Aiken, The Record of New Jersey reported earlier this month.
