Siemens lays off 60 workers in Buffalo Grove

Siemens Building Technologies , a division of Germany-based Siemens, said Thursday that it has laid off about 100 workers nationwide, including roughly 60 at its Buffalo Grove division headquarters. Siemens' spokeswoman Camille Johnston said Siemens is "streamlining several programs and initiatives, resulting in a reduction of workforce involving office personnel."

DOT lays out maintenance plan for ZipMobiles

The Hawaii Department of Transportation's two ZipMobiles used for the H-1 Freeway ZipperLane are now both in operational condition after breaking down on Tuesday, March 31, due to electrical malfunctions. The original ZipMobile breakdown on Tuesday morning was caused by an intermittent electrical problem with its computer battery pack unit.
