Orange growth improves in Q4, maintains outlook for stable 2020

(Telecompaper) Orange reported improved growth figures for the fourth quarter. Group revenues grew 1.1 percent on a comparable basis to EUR 11.1 billion, compared to 0.8 percent in the previous quarter, thanks strong momentum in Africa and the Middle East and an improved performance in France. EBITDAaL was up 1.3 percent on the same basis to EUR 3.3 billion, accelerating from an increase of 0.2 percent in the previous quarter. Orange maintained its outlook for a "flat positive" EBITDA this year and improved its forecast for cash flow.

Vodafone maintains outlook as Q3 service revenue growth improves to nearly 1%

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Group maintained its full-year outlook after reporting third-quarter results largely in line with the previous quarter. Group revenue for the three months to December rose 6.8 percent to EUR 11.75 billion, helped by the acquisition of Liberty Global's cable assets, and organic service revenue was up 0.8 percent. That compares to underlying growth of 0.7 percent in Q2 and a drop of 0.2 percent in Q1 service revenue.

(Telecompaper) Orange maintained growth in comparable sales in the third quarter, with an increase of 0.8 percent. Growth was led by a 7.6 percent increase in Africa and the Middle East and higher revenues in eastern Europe and the Enterprise segment, offsetting declines of 0.4 percent in France and 2.5 percent in Spain.
