Hampton University , Norfolk State University , the Environmental Protection Agency and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality signed an agreement Monday to continue a partnership that will lead to more minority students entering environmental research fields. At HU, where the signing ceremony was held, the program has focused on air quality research activities, and at NSU the program provided ninth-grade students in the local area an opportunity to research air pollution and environmental science, according to a news release.
