Entergy: Radiation rule violation should get lower rating

Entergy Corp. acknowledges it didn't follow some radiation safety monitoring procedures during a refueling of its Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in southwestern Michigan last year but says federal regulators should treat it as a low-level violation. The New Orleans-based company presented its case at a hearing Tuesday before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Lisle, Illinois.

Texas-based companies Jonway Motorcycle (USA) Co, Ltd and Shenke USA, Inc, as well as 4 manufacturers in China, violated Clean Air Act (CAA) by importing and selling 11,000+ motorcycles and ATVs that did not conform to specifications previously certified to EPA or lacked EPA certification. Resulting civil penalty was $1,258,582, and EPA also denied select applications for certificates of conformity for select model year 2015 highway motorcycles and RVs.
