Xperi gets unsolicited cash bid worth USD 23.30 per share

(Telecompaper) Xperi said it has received an unsolicited bid from Metis Ventures, worth USD 23.30 per share in cash. The company earlier signed an all-stock merger deal with TiVo, giving TiVo a majority (53.5%) of the newly-created company, which would have just over USD 1 billion in revenue. Xperi said it talked internally about the Metis proposal and concluded that, due to the lack of information and current non-binding terms and conditions, it will probably not pursue the deal.
Singtel, TPG Telecom, StarHub-M1 bid for 5G spectrum in Singapore

(Telecompaper) Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has announced that, at the close of the 5G Call for Proposal on 17 February, it had received a total of three submissions. These include one each from Singtel Mobile Singapore and TPG Telecom, and a joint-submission from StarHub Mobile and M1. IMDA said it is evaluating the submissions and expects to award the spectrum by mid-2020.
