Pennsylvania Medical Society officials met with Highmark senior staff Tuesday and asked the Pittsburgh insurer to reverse its decision to cut reimbursements to private physicians by 4.5 percent. Highmark had announced the cut in light of an estimated $500 million loss from its marketplace insurance plans in 2015.

The Dallas-based carrier said it wants to fly out of three different airports in Florida, with most of the daily service leaving from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport. Reuters: China has asked local governments in 11 provinces to ban in urban areas the selling of high-sulphur diesel that is used for industrial and farming purposes rather than in automobiles, Beijing said in a policy document released on Thursday. New York state's comptroller and four other Exxon Mobil shareholders asked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission this week to force the oil producer to include a climate change resolution in its annual shareholder proxy, according to a filing seen by Reuters. The move, the first since the Paris climate accord, ratchets up the tension between the world's largest publicly traded oil company and a growing chorus of investors concerned that climate change or legislation designed to curb it will harm Exxon's ability to operate profitably.
