Ice Group plans to raise NOK 3 billion through IPO in Oslo

(Telecompaper) Ice Group said it plans to hold an initial public offering (IPO) of its ordinary shares and apply for a listing on the Oslo stock exchange. It expects to issue new shares to raise gross proceeds of approximately NOK 3.0 billion prior to the exercise of an overallotment option. Current majority owner Access Industries intends to remain a substantial shareholder after the IPO and will not sell any shares in connection with the offer.
Telia buys Get and TDC Norway for NOK 21 billion

(Telecompaper) Telia Company said it has agreed to buy Get TDC Norway from Danish operator TDC at an enterprise value of NOK 21 billion on a cash and debt-free basis, which will result in a comprehensive supplier and a challenger in the market. The announcement comes shortly after TDC Group was taken over by a consortium of pension funds and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and decided to split up its Danish operations into network and services arms.

Telenor Norway expects to appeal against largest ever competition fine of NOK 788 mln

(Telecompaper) Telenor Norway said it disagrees with the Competition Authority's decision to impose a fine on it of NOK 788 million for abusing its dominant position on the Norwegian mobile market, and expects to lodge an appeal. Competition Authority director general Lars Sorgard said it has concluded that Telenor created barriers for the development of a third mobile network in Norway. This is a serious infringement of competition law, Sorgard added.

NextGenTel agrees to sell Kvantel to Broadnet for NOK 250 mln

(Telecompaper) NextGenTel Holding said that it has agreed to sell its datacom provider Kvantel to Broadnet for NOK 250 million, even though it has a growth strategy for the corporate market. Kvantel generated NOK 210.6 million in revenues in 2017. It said Broadnet made it an attractive offer that will provide NextGenTel with significant liquidity, increasing its flexibility both financially and strategically in a changing telecoms market.
