What, though, if you could offer an indoor location service while crowdsourcing the information needed to provide it? Two companies exhibiting at Mobile World Congress, InLocoMedia and Sensewhere, are doing just that -- but with quite different business models.

Metro releases alternative routes for light rail through Montebello

LOS ANGELES >> In light of vocal opposition to a proposed light rail route on Garfield Avenue, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials have released the alternative Montebello routes to be studied for the proposed line from East Los Angeles to Whittier. One route would head south on Arizona Avenue to Telegraph Road in Commerce and then link up with Washington Boulevard, ending at PIH Health in Whittier.

Allegiant Air offers new routes

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air plans to add four new routes to the three it already operates into Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, the domestic low-cost carrier announced Tuesday. "We are very excited to be adding these four new routes to Savannah/Hilton Head in our second year of service to this popular vacation destination," said Jude Bricker, Allegiant senior vice president of planning.

Budget carrier Allegiant Air plans to add two Florida destinations to its routes to and from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. reports Las Vegas-based Allegiant will offer nonstop flights from New Orleans to Jacksonville International Airport in April, while nonstop service to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport begins in June.
