Chukong Technologies secures new investment from Qualcomm

The mobile gaming firm Chukong Technologies is one of five Chinese companies to receive a share of $40 million in funding from Qualcomm Ventures. This is the first time that Qualcomm has dipped into a $150 million startup fund it established this year for innovators in the mobile and wireless market in China.

United Technologies May Consider Largest Deal Yet to Spur Sales

United Technologies Corp. 's new chief executive officer said he will consider acquisitions in excess of $20 billion as he reviews portfolio changes that could also include selling off key business units. In his first public appearance since being appointed to the top post last month, Gregory Hayes said he is taking a hard look at all of the company's units, which sell products from Black Hawk helicopters to Otis elevators and Carrier air conditioners.

United Technologies profit outlook below forecasts

United Technologies Corp. on Thursday issued profit forecasts for this year and 2015 that fell short of market expectations and its shares slipped in extended trading. The aerospace and building systems conglomerate, which got a new CEO in November, said that it expects to earn $6.80 per share for the year.
