This year's inductees include Roger Penske, 78, founder of Penske Corp. and Penske Racing; Elwood Haynes, who co-founded Haynes-Apperson Automobile Co.

Duke Energy makes national arts organization's Hall of Fame

The annual winner is chosen by the executive board of the Business Committee for the Arts, a division of Americans for the Arts. The organization cited Duke's civic leadership, financial contributions and volunteerism in helping create the Levine Center for the Arts, ensuring the partnership between the Charlotte Symphony and Opera Carolina continued and its sponsorship of the Duke Energy Children's Museum in Cincinnati.
