Tata group firms line up Rs 65,000 cr capex this fiscal

Various firms of diversified Tata group have lined up capital expenditure of a total of over Rs 65,000 crore for the ongoing fiscal.

The 2014 development capex budget is now $85 million, up from $70 million, the company said.

April 28, 2014 -- Spending on semiconductor manufacturing equipment is headed for healthy growth in 2014.

Ongoing leasing and acquisitions, as well as an accelerated development program, drove the increase, the company said.

Ovum predicts the world's operators will spend around $2.1 trillion between 2014-2019.
