HTC reports net loss of TWD 4.48 billion in Q3

(Telecompaper) HTC has reported unaudited quarterly revenue of TWD 21.40 billion for the fiscal 2015 third quarter ended 30 September. Operating loss was TWD 4.94 billion. Net loss before tax amounted to TWD 4.49 billion, while net loss after tax stood at TWD 4.48 billion. This compares to a net profit of TWD 640 million for the third quarter of 2014. EPS were negative at TWD 5.41 for the quarter ended 30 September 2015.

Mobile carriers' profitability improves in Q3

South Korea's three mobile carriers are estimated to have posted an improved ratio of operating income to total revenue in the third quarter, industry sources said Sunday, as the firms reduced marketing expenditures. The combined sales posted by SK Telecom Co., KT Corp. and LG Uplus Corp. are estimated to have reached 12.5 trillion won in the July-September period, while the operating profit is expected at 1.67 trillion won, the data compiled by industry tracker FnGuide showed.
