According to Digital TV Research, the MENA region will have 20.80 million movie and TV series SVOD subscribers by 2023, up from the 5.22 million recorded at end-2017. Turkey will remain the leader by some distance, with a third of the region's total.

Netflix testing EUR 17 a month 'Ultra' tier in Europe

(Telecompaper) Netflix is testing a new higher tier of service called 'Ultra' in Europe, allowing subscribers to receive Ultra HD (UHD) video and audio streaming simultaneously on up to four devices, reports Italian website Tutto Android. The fourth tier is priced at EUR 16.99 a month and would join the company's three subscription plans Basic (EUR 7.99), Standard (EUR 10.99) and Premium (EUR 13.99).
