The French branch of the far-right Jewish Defense League was apparently targeting David Perrotin, a reporter for the BuzzFeed web site who has come under fire for being "anti-Israel." A mob of right wing Jewish extremists armed with batons attacked a prominent French journalist during a violent demonstration outside the offices of Agence France-Presse in Paris, according to the British newspaper Guardian .
