Proximus, Orange Belgium pave way for future mobile network sharing joint venture

(Telecompaper) Belgian mobile providers Proximus and Orange Belgium have signed a deal that paves the way for a mobile access network sharing agreement by the end of the year. The companies expect the term sheet agreement, which will eventually create a joint venture, to increase the quality of the mobile network, provide deeper indoor coverage and allow a faster and more comprehensive deployment of 5G in the country.

Fastweb, Wind Tre sign Italian 5G network sharing deal

(Telecompaper) Italian operators Fastweb and Wind Tre have announced an agreement to team up on the rollout of a nationwide 5G network. The deal follows that reached by rivals Telecom Italia (TIM) and Vodafone in February and paves the way for the operators to share their respective assets in order to accelerate the deployment of 5G mobile broadband infrastructure throughout the country.

(Telecompaper) Vodafone's quarterly results and dividend cut set the TPSI European Telecoms Services lower last week. The index ended week 20 down 0.7 percent, against a 1.9 percent gain for the EuroStoxx 50 index. Iridium, without significant news, and 1&1 Drillisch also ended the week down sharply. The winners included mobilezone and Rostelecom.
