Harris Teeter is recalling more than 4,000 pounds of mislabeled chicken noodle soup that contains egg, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced. A grocery store employee found that the chicken noodle soup products, manufactured by Charlotte-based B. Robert's Foods, were incorrectly labeled as 'Harris Teeter Fresh Foods Market Chef's Recipe Chicken and Wild Rice Soup,' according to a USDA news release.

Fisher recalls walnuts and pecan cookie pieces

The maker of Fisher brand nuts said Wednesday it is voluntarily recalling Fisher 8-ounce chopped walnuts and Fisher 8-ounce pecan cookie pieces packaged in plastic bags because of possible salmonella contamination. Consumers who recently bought the products online or in stores in Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma or Texas can return them for a refund or replacement, according to John B. Sanfilippo & Son, which makes nuts, dried fruits and mixes under the Fisher and Harvest Valley Orchard brands.
