As U.S. member to ISO, ANSI seeks relevant U.S. experts to serve on ANSI Virtual Technical Advisory Group (VTAG) in relation to ISO/TMB Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) on Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing. ANSI also seeks relevant U.S. experts to participate directly on said SAG, supported by input from VTAG. Working via email and Webex, U.S. VTAG will follow work of SAG and help develop ANSI comments based on U.S. stakeholder input. Deadline is July 21.

Emergent BioSolutions manufacturing Ebola treatment in Baltimore

Gaithersburg biotechnology company Emergent BioSolutions will make a treatment for the Ebola virus at its East Baltimore manufacturing facility, the company said Monday. The defense department's Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority is paying Emergent $19.7 million to manufacture Ebola monoclonal antibodies.
