NTSB Recommendation addresses Washington's Metro hazards.

In its ongoing investigation of Metro train accident at L’Enfant Plaza on January 12, 2015, NTSB investigators found electrical connections in Washington's Metro system require immediate action. Construction and installation of certain electrical connections and assemblies associated with power supply to third rail were identified as missing sealing sleeves designed to keep out moisture and contaminants. NTSB asked WMATA to develop and implement program to rectify these hazards.
